About Us Tree Trimming and Tree Maintenance Course The Committee sponsors twice a year on the last Saturday in March and the first Saturday in April, a Tree Trimming and Tree Maintenance Course for anybody wishing to attend. This well attended program is limited to the first twenty-five people who sign up for the given program. The first hour of this program in conducted in a classroom and instructs basic tree trimming and pruning techniques, tree and shrub care, what tools are needed and the proper care of these tools. The last hour is conducted in the field, allowing participants the opportunity to conduct a hands-on approach to the techniques and instructions received. The instructors for this program are the Town’s Tree Warden, a Committee member/instructor at Ellis Clark Vo-Ag and the owner of a local tree business. |
