Upcoming Events Woodbury Shade Tree and Sidewalk Committee will be sponsoring a Tree Trimming and Maintenance Course. Learn the ins and outs of tree care and proper pruning techniques from the experts. This course will take place on the last Saturday of March and Saturday, April 14, at the Shove Building Conference Room. (There is no charge.) Woodbury Shade Tree and Sidewalk Committee will be conducting its Annual Tree Planting and Maintenance Program. 15 large 3 ½”-4” caliper Shade Trees will be planted and 150 trees previously planted will be fertilized, edged, pruned, and trimmed. Contractors have been notified and awarded contracts to do the work. Work will begin in the spring when weather allows. Woodbury Shade Tree and Sidewalk Committee will sponsor the 3 rd grade Tree Walk this spring and fall. Dates for the upcoming walk will be announced. This popular program will provide the 3rd graders with a hands-on approach to tree identification and a introduction to Tree Biology. The walk will be conducted by the Woodbury Tree Warden and Committee Members. A major portion of the sidewalk infrastructure will be upgraded and added onto. Contracts have been awarded for this work. Work on this project will commence in the spring as weather allows. Further information will be forthcoming. The Woodbury Shade Tree and Sidewalk Committee Fund Drive will begin this spring. Future funding will be in place to replant materials in the Town Tree Nursery. This will ensure that plant materials will be available for future planting.
