Any resident of Woodbury, 18 years of age or over, who is a U.S. citizen, may register to vote in the town clerk's office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some means of identification is required. For information on cutoff dates to register before elections, call the town clerk or the registrars of voters.
Payable July 1 through August 1 and January 1 through February 1. Bills of $50 or less are due in full in July. Supplemental motor vehicle bills are due in January.
Declaration of personal property must be filed with the assessor between October 1 and November 1.
Veterans may qualify for tax credits by recording separation papers with the town clerk prior to October 1. (additional veterans' exemption filing period is February 1 to October 1)
Homeowners aged 65 or over may qualify for property tax credits from the state and town based on income level. They should apply to the assessor's office between February 1 and May 15.
Home renters with the same qualifications as those for home owners should apply to the assessor's office between May 15 and September 15. Persons of all ages who receive Social Security Disability payments are also eligible for an exemption. Additional information is available from the assessor's office.
Temporary loan of aids for persons after a hospital stay include crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, canes and other items which are available on a limited basis to residents at no charge. Reservations may be made by calling the selectman's office at (203) 263-2141
